Ideal location in Bovey Tracey right by the restaurant in the evening, a garden straight out the back door and Dartmoor and Dartmouth. Excellent breakfast — a good choice of meals.

My wife and I stayed here because my grandfather was a boarder here in the 1880s when it was Bovey Tracey Grammar School. Without asking we were upgraded to a very pleasant room. The evening dinner was most enjoyable, and the service excellent.

The convenience of its proximity to the Dartmoor area. The garden area which in good weather is very enjoyable.
The rooms were somewhat 'spartan' and bare.

A small friendly hotel with relaxed atmosphere and good standard of food offered on site. (No other restaurant in the vicinity).
Perhaps needing just a little 'up-dating' in some of the decoration/furnishing, although it did have lots of character and was very comfortable.
